Filipe Toledo and Tatiana Weston-Webb have taken out the 2021 Boost Mobile Margaret River Pro in Western Australia.

The fourth stop on the 2021 World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT) concluded in clean four-to-six-foot waves at Main Break.

In the men's final, the Brazilian was able to apply his frontside power turns in the critical sections of the waves and earn two high scores from the judges.

Toledo ended up with a two-wave total of 17.40 points and the second-highest total of the event, which was enough to beat Jordy Smith.

"It's been a fun week with amazing waves and performances from all surfers. I want to dedicate this victory to my son, Koa - it's his birthday," expressed Filipe Toledo.

"He asked me to win the trophy, and I promised him I would, so I couldn't break my promise. My goal is to make it to the top five for the finals."

In the women's final, it was another Brazilian who stole the show.

Tatiana Weston-Webb secured her second CT win after defeating seven-time world champion Stephanie Gilmore.

"It's an incredible feeling. Steph is one of the best surfers of all time, and you don't often get to surf against a seven-time world champion," added Weston-Webb.

"I wish to dedicate this win to Bronte Macaulay and her family. Bronte was brave to show up for her heat [after the loss of her brother Jack]."

The next stop on the 2021 professional surfing circuit is the Rip Curl Rottnest Search at Strickland Bay, Rottnest Island.
